Gypsy Queen

Oatmeal Pale Ale

Azacca, Vic Secret

Marris Otter, Oats, Lactose

Feb - Apr

This beer is dry hopped for maximum aroma and uses oatmeal in the mash to give this Pale Ale a smooth mouthfeel, more body and bags of flavour without being challenging. The taste of oats are balanced with bright citrus and tropical notes from Australian and American hops that round the beer off perfectly. If you haven’t tried an Oatmeal Pale Ale before, this one is definitely worth giving a go. ‘Gypsy Queen’ is the namesake of an iron steam-boat built by brothers Jacob and Joseph Samuda in 1844 which featured innovative belt crank engines. They were based just down the river from our brewery in Bow-creek. However, on its maiden voyage disaster struck when one of the engines on the boat exploded, killing a number of the crew including Jacob Samuda. You can still find his gravestone in Novo Sephardic cemetery, Mile End.
