ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for a new Head Brewer to oversee the running of our Hackney Wick brewery and the production of all our beer.

It is the leading role in a team of four brewers, managing all aspects of the brewery and making sure we keep quality and standards high. The role also works closely with the entire senior management, linking into all areas of the business.

Our lease on the site is only for the next 6-12 months, hence the length of the contract. The role may continue onto our new brewery, but given how quickly things are changing in the world at the moment, we don’t want to make any promises!

We serve customers in pubs and bars all across London, as well as our own three sites – the Newman Arms, Brick Lane Brews (London City airport) and our flagship Truman’s Social Club.

As well as our keg and cask range, we have our own canning line and do a small amount of contract brewing.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Originally based in Brick Lane, Truman’s is East London’s most celebrated brewer, originally founded over 350 years ago. The brewery shut for a couple of decades at the end of the 20th Century, a mistake of history which we rectified by re-establishing it in 2010.

Since then, we have created a full range of award-winning cask and keg beers as well as creating some fantastic venues.

We’re a small, dedicated and hard working team looking to do great things. Last year we opened Truman’s Social Club, a 23,00 sq ft beer hall and events venue. It’s designed to celebrate great beer, community, creativity and good times – it’s the embodiment of everything we stand for.
