Truman’s RAW Lager is a crisp and smooth kolsch style lager. This unfiltered lager has a more full bodied, silky smooth mouthfeel from its perfect carbonation. You will notice flavours and aromas of light honeysuckle and biscuit balanced with the bitterness from the traditional Czech Hallertau Mittlefruh hops. The ‘RAW’ condition of the lager ensures that no flavour or aroma has been stripped out by filters or external gases. Guaranteed the freshest pint away from the brewing tanks themselves.
RAW Lager is unpasteurised and unfiltered which means the beer is still ‘alive’ and continues to mature and develops further flavour in the pub’s tanks whilst in the pub. The delivery process guarantees the beer never reaches above 5°c, ensuring minimal oxidation and has no contact with any external oxygen or CO2, ensuring the freshest pint possible outside of the brewery. In fact the first time Truman’s RAW Lager has contact with any contact with external gas is when it’s first poured into the glass at the pub.
Our friends at The Eagle, situated on iconic Ladbroke Grove, will be the first location to serve Truman's Raw direct from the tank. The Eagle was historically a Truman’s pub, making it the natural choice for our first foray into tank lager.
This is a hugely exciting opportunity and we're delighted to be working closely with the team at Hippo Inns to bring our brewery fresh Truman's Raw beer to the drinkers of London for the first time. The fact the Eagle was originally a Truman's pub is the icing on the cake!
