For us, running The Cygnet Bar in Swan Wharf was one of the highlights of 2014. This year, to take the site onto the next level, we have handed the reins over to our good friends at The Plough in Homerton, to launch a new and refreshed bar at Swan Wharf. No need to worry, they will still be stocking Truman’s ales, all brewed only 200 yards down the road, as well as a selection of beers from other great breweries. A seasonal selection of refreshing cocktails will also be on offer.
The bar is now up and running, open every day from 9am to 11am (Sunday-Thursday) and till 1am on Friday & Saturday. Based right on the canal front with a sun soaked courtyard and views of the Olympic stadium this is the perfect spot to put your feet up and have a relaxing drink. You’ll find Larry and James (below) backed up by a crack squad of bar commandos, ready to make you feel at home.
For those of you who may be feeling peckish they will be serving flavourful American style comfort food for breakfast, lunch and dinner, from breakfast burritos to tacos and burgers all designed to pair seamlessly with the beers on offer.
Because no one can resist a party, there will be an official launch event for all our friends on Thursday 19th March from 7:30 – 10:30pm. It’s free entry, so come down and welcome in the summer in style!
The Plough at Swan Wharf is located at 60 Dace Road, London, E3 2NQ.
